Graphic Design

So there was a design challenge to develop a Chemistry department logo while I was working towards my PhD at UCONN.  The letters, (U,C,O,N,N, etc.) are molecules. Can you name them? Admittedly, this challenge is not as difficult as solving Fermat's last theorem, but challenging nevertheless.
